That is a good plan. I would add walkie talkies to communicate with other teachers, police (with earpiece so no incoming sound) and in the bathrooms, also the ladders, bolt lock and add diamond plate on the doors thick enough to stop a rifle in case students get trapped in the halls. Yes the shooter can shoot through a wall but the door, diamond plate will be able to afford protection, unless they have the money for diamond plating the sides of the door too. Also if they have the budget the egress doors should be locally alarmed panic doors with a strobe type light indicating what door is open and a signal into the school office to ensure doors are locked. One way main door entry, exit could also be used if the kids would cooperate. Good luck with the i***t parents. Another thought, after locking the door and sliding the file cab over especially if the light is on, it may be better with some diamond plate on one side if being used as a cover position. The shooter is looking for targets in a quick time frame so best for room to look deserted (most classrooms have 2 doors) so the shooter doesn't want to waste time with a hard target, locked door looking empty so while the kids exit they should keep low profile. Just saying. But the Israeli did a good basic job, affordable and effective for any school budget.

What about the glass windows that most classrooms have? My daughter has a solid wall of glass widows in the school she teaches at
